How silly was I to think that I would still have time to crochet (including thinking of new designs, testing them out, writing out the pattern, photography, etc) when there’s 2 little monsters running around the house, demanding every minute of my attention? I think I need to take a time management course or something…because how do these other wo+men do it all? I am SO behind that this bunny hat free crochet pattern I’m about to share with you was supposed to be posted before Easter! I am almost embarrassed to be posting this now…in the middle of June. Oh well. Maybe some of you can make the bunny hat now in preparation for this Fall or next Easter?
Wow, time flies! I just realized it’s been a month since I last posted the Basket of Eggs free pattern! I have been busy crocheting gifts for family and friends who are expecting. These little amigurumi Juju Cats, however, were created when my husband came home with two keys and just placed them on the kitchen counter. He told me he was housesitting for a week or so. Looking at those keys…without a keychain attached, I knew he was going to lose them.
I am so happy to see many of you are working on the The Traveling Tu Family pattern, even though Easter is only a few days away! I have already seen some finished projects and I must say, I LOVE them all!! Thank you to those who shared their projects with me either via private message/email, on my Facebook page or by tagging #LittleMeeCreations on Instagram.
So how about another little free crochet pattern to go with the Traveling Tu Family set? A fellow crafter requested some little eggs to go with the bunnies and I said to myself, why the heck not? I don’t even know why I hadn’t thought of it in the first place. Duh!
I started working on these eggs after my little ones went to bed. I love how they came out, especially with the variegated yarn! It saves so much time from color changes and I love how each egg will come out looking a little different due to the variegated yarn. Check the pattern if you would like to use the same color I used in the sample – I always note the exact brand and color in my patterns, in case you want yours to be the exact color combination.
A few days ago, I published a post about The Traveling Tu Family, which is a FREE crochet pattern I’ve designed exclusively for Melody’s Makings. Since then, my little one has been telling me that the bunnies need a basket to store their carrots. Because, you know, they can’t just leave it on the ground (the carrots will be dirty, Mommy!). So here we are, a free crochet pattern for a little basket of carrots!!
Easter is just around the corner! Have you filled your Easter baskets? This bunny family will sure add a ton of fun for kids and kids at heart! Meet the Traveling Tu family – PapaTu (daddy rabbit in purple), MamaTu (mommy rabbit in blue), Tutu (big brother bunny, in white) and Toto (baby sister bunny, in pink). They like to hop out of their carrot home and enjoy a nice sunny day, while munching on yummy carrots 🙂

Meet Snowy, the baby polar bear! He is the perfect companion for little ones as he is super soft and cuddly! Snowy loves to sleep, so he would be really happy as a napping friend, too!
He works up very quick due to the super bulky yarn, so if you are in need of a quick baby shower gift, give this pattern a try! I used the Bernat Baby Blanket yarn as it is super soft and fluffy!!
